[edit] Info

This is a Screenlet which displays calendar events - such as birthdays or public holidays - using the Linux command-line tool "gcal".

[edit] Installation

Install using the Screenlets-manager or by extracting the contents of the screenlet's archive to the directory "$HOME/.screenlets".

[edit] Requirements

Requires a working installation of pal 0.4.3.

Before you launch this Screenlet, create a configuration file for "pal" and try running "pal" with it from the console. Please see its man page for further instructions.

[edit] Usage

To resize the Screenlet, change to the current theme's directory (for example "~/.screenlets/EventCalendar/themes/default"), open the file "theme.conf" with your favourite editor, change the settings for height and width, respectively, and restart the Screenlet.

If you encounter any other problems, open the console, change to the installation directory (usually "~/.screenlets/EventCalendar") and try running "./EventDatabase.py". It will give you some debug information that might help you locating the problem.

I love to hear from people who use my applications. So if you can spare the time, have any suggestions, want to translate this Screenlet to your language or create a nice theme, head over to my website and drop me an email! And now - thanks for using free software. I hope you'll enjoy it!

[edit] Discussion

This area should contain a link to the screenlet's talk-page (or better use the comments-extension).
