[edit] Love screenlets. Let's get them used everywhere
They really should be in (for me) the Ubuntu Universe repos, and later I'd love them to be a core component, installed by default with Compiz. Are you folks pushing to have your packages taken into the repos?
BTW, the Gutsy deb packages seem to be missing from your server just now...
Thank you! Roger
[edit] Nice Website
Screenlets rocks :)
[edit] contact info
Was wanting to contact screenlets developer but can't find any details. can you put up a contact address?
Hi,
I was trying to find the webmaster's contact email address too - I wanted to tell him that the FAQ section at http://www.screenlets.org/index.php/FAQ is being spammed with loads of links to porn! I inadvertently clicked on one of the links at work, and now I've just had the Information Security heavies from upstairs come down and give me a bollocking!! :-D
[edit] New release of screenlets
Screenlets 0.0.8 rocks :) but 0.0.10 is awful. it doesn't work as good as 0.0.8, e.g. i need to quit every widget manually. --217.224.72.36 15:18, 4 September 2007 (EDT)
the screen lets 0.0.10 works fine but when i restrat it dispaear and i have to restart the whole thing again even thought i made it start auto when linux starts??
[edit] Hi, any chance to get extra themes for ClockScreenlet
[edit] Make it a bit more like Dashboard?
I'm currently using a friends Mac for the day and I finally got to try dashboard. It's awesome! The way you add widgets, the splash effect when you drag them, and the bar on the bottom where you can add them from are all great. I even like the fly-in animation when you open them. So here's the thought: can we make Screenlets more like that? I know there's a screenlets manager, though I don't use it. Can we copy a lot of the style?
[edit] Do we have a place to report bugs?
Love the screenlets so far. Have written a few of my own and plan to submit at some point. Is there a plan to create a place to report problems or submit patches? I'm seeing a monster memory leak using the packaged CPUMeter. ~1G/day leak. Could be a problem with the low level logic compounded by a high refresh rate.
[edit] Thanks for the screenlets
Thanks for the screenlets. I am running Fedora 8 and it works great. How do I make my own screenlet?
